More than 1,000 people attended the 130th Grantsville Old Folks Sociable. A special honored guest reception was held for residents and former residents aged 75 and older. An afternoon and evening entertainment program showcased local talents. Highlights included The Jefferies and Didericksen Families filling the stage to sing “Sound of Music Medley” and a dance down memory lane that started with Sharon and Ernie Beacham doing a ‘30s style swing and ended with a dance compilation of the ‘80s and ‘90s by Aaric Allred, Ryan McBride, Barry Bunderson and Scott Mourtisen. The program ended with Emily Christensen and Dillon Hurst singing an original song about Grantsville written by Brad Hurst called “Pretty Little Town.” The evening continued with a community dinner and dance.
