“That’s the Way She Goes”
Albert Joseph Simonich, Sr., 92, passed away Nov. 26 in Sandy. He was born Sept. 23, 1920 in Tooele to John and Rose Turk Simonich. He married Mary Ann Zupan on Feb. 21, 1942 in Midvale. She passed away on April 4, 1989. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was a lineman foreman for Utah Power & Light, and was a member of IBEW for 65 years. He is survived by children Albert (Jill) Simonich, Phyllis Simonich, Dorothy Dean and Tony Simonich, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and sister Frances Anderson. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 W. 7500 South. Holy Rosary will be recited Friday at 7 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., with viewings Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.
