On April 1, 2014 our beautiful Allysa Kay Dalton was found up Davenport Canyon in Grantsville. The circumstances of her untimely death are unknown at this time. She loved the solitude and beauty of nature and was found with a deck of playing cards. She certainly died surrounded by peace and love. My Ally was cute as a bug and even at 19 years old she went by “Ally bug.” Allysa was born on July 8,1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2000 we moved to Tooele, Utah. Allysa graduated from Stansbury High in 2012 in the school’s first graduating class. She was able to complete some college courses there as well. Allysa shined in the theater department. She was brilliant at the single person monologue and was awarded with several first place ratings and the honor to compete at nationals. Allysa loved participating in the many plays Stansbury High put on and belted our beautiful musicals. She was creative as well and enjoyed drawing, vlogging, wearing dramatic make-up and making music. She played the violin, flute, piano and was starting to learn the guitar. Allysa was especially funny and enjoyed making others happy. She took in friends of all types and they all enjoyed being themselves. Allysa refused to be anyone but herself. She spent any money she had on giving gifts to others to make them know they were loved. I admire that she didn’t judge others. She loved the Young Women’s program and brought everyone with her who would come to have fun and be accepted. We love our dear Allysa! Allysa was a wonderful friend and daughter. She would want others to know that she fought a difficult battle with depression. She took medication, talked with counselors, and had to go to the hospital on occasion. She had embraced her illness and wanted others who suffered with physical disease to get help too. She was a champion. Allysa was preceded in death by various unborn siblings and her beloved Grandpa & Grandma Mills. Their reunion must have been very tender and special. Survivors include Rochelle & Darren Dalton (parents); siblings: Kaylie Mills, Makala Dalton, Denali Dalton & Benjamin Christley; Robert Mills; her Dalton & Jolley grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 12 at noon with a visitation from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at 1717 Berra Blvd. Tooele. There will also be a visitation Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main, Tooele. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
