Brent Weyland

Obit Brent WeylandDevoted friend and father, Brent Weyland, left this life on Sept. 17 in the same way he lived it; on his own terms. Those who knew and loved him know this to be true. Brent was born in Tooele on July 7, 1951 to Parley and Edith (Woods) Weyland. He was a member of Tooele High School Class of 1969. He married Diane Lynn Andrus and settled in Clearfield where they raised their family. Brent had a successful career at HAFB and enjoyed serving in the Local AFGE Union 1592. He happily retired early to enjoy hosting backyard barbecues and spending time on his Harley, and at Sourdough Ranch, his favorite piece of wilderness, with his good friend, Dave Thomas and their families. We will always remember Brent for his barbecue ribs and Dutch Oven potatoes, his devotion to his parents and family, his willingness to drop everything to help someone out, and his funny stories and practical jokes. Brent will be missed by those he left behind: his sons, Jared Weyland and Matthew (Michele) Weyland, his daughter, Burgindi (Eric) Sather and his nine grandchildren; his siblings, Sharlene Luoma, Sherma Sacre, and Stanley (Bonnie) Weyland; and many beloved nieces and nephews who were blessed by his undying nurturing love and friendship. Brent was preceded in death by his parents, Parley and Edith Weyland, his infant son, Parley Colin Weyland, and his former wife, Diane Lynn Weyland. A celebration of his life and private barbecue will be hosted by his family. For information please contact our family at the email listed below.
