The children of Byron and Corrie Anderson would like to announce the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents who were married on Jan. 2, 1962. Byron and Corrie have lived in Grantsville for the past 50 years where they have enjoyed raising their family and being involved in the community. After retiring from the Tooele Army Depot in 1993, Byron went on to serve as a councilman and mayor for Grantsville City. Corrie also retired from Dugway Proving Ground in 1993 and has continued her career with L-3 Communications. They both enjoy restoring the historic John T. Rich home in Grantsville, which was built in 1879, and attending the numerous activities of their grandchildren. They are the parents of Debbie (Cliff) Nelson, Leslie (Todd) Baird, Shonie (Jeff) Guymon, Jennifer Leach, and Byron (Amber) Anderson. They have 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Their children are honoring this special occasion with an open house on Dec. 30 at the Stansbury Clubhouse from 7 to 9 p.m. Please come and help us celebrate.
