Obit Cody Guy WrathallCody Guy Wrathall, of Erda, Utah, passed away June 8, 2019, at the age of 43 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Cody was born Jan. 27, 1976, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Guy T. Wrathall and Roselane Gae Warr Wrathall. He graduated from Tooele High School in 1994, attended Utah State University, and then Purdue University where he graduated in 2002 with a Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine degree.

Cody was an avid animal lover from a young age. He loved following his grandpa Lyman around on the farm eagerly watching as he doctored a cow or saddled a horse. He loved the outdoors and especially spending time with his kids in the outdoors. From hunting trips to floating the river in Lava Hot Springs, they were always going somewhere.

His calling in life was to become a veterinarian and he excelled in doing so. He truly loved his job and his clients who came with it. At the time of his death, he was employed by South Valley Large Animal Clinic.

Cody is survived by his mother, Roselane Gae Warr Wrathall; step-father, Michael Bingham; sister, Mattie (Jason) Remick; his children, Weston, Baylee, and Wyatt; the mother of his children, Robin (Jason) Smart; step-brother, Jim (AnnMarie) Bingham; step-sisters, Sherri Hansen, Kathleen (Doug) Deyo, and Karma (Eric) Fernandez. He is also survived by many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins on the Wrathall and Warr side.

He is preceded in death by his father, Guy T. Wrathall; and his grandparents, T.R. and Aletha Wrathall and Lyman and Georgia Warr.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, from 6 – 8 p.m., at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main St., Tooele, Utah. Funeral will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11 a.m., at the Erda LDS Chapel, 323 E. Erda Way (Corner of Erda Way and SR 36). Prior visitation will be held before the funeral from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 S. 100 East, Tooele, Utah.
