Days of Summer

With the long Labor Day weekend in the book and school back in session, the summer season is over even with record heat and the autumn equinox still a few weeks away.

The long days of summer gave us all the opportunity to bask in the sun or relax in the shade. The summer was ripe with things to enjoy. Maybe a car show at the Fourth of July celebration in Tooele or Grantsville. Or maybe you caught a classic auto at Stansbury or Lake Points community celebration. The Bit & Spur held its 74th rodeo on the 3rd and 4th of July packing the stands with crowds ready to enjoy cowgirls and cowboys going for a great ride.

If sitting back to enjoy the summer got a little too easy there were plenty of events to take part in. Both Tooele City and Stansbury Park hosted a triathlon for children and adults. And plenty of people signed up to give it a tri. Utah Motorsports Campus was revving all summer. One of the biggest draws was the return of the Nitro Circus with high-flying competition wowing the crowds.
