St. Barnabas is “ruining our community,” Ms. Curtis? On the contrary! The southwestern style and color scheme certainly do stand out in our small subdivision of subdued hues. How refreshing! In addition to bringing a needed slice of diversity to our area, this new facility represents the efforts of two theologically different congregations who call it home. What a testament to good community relations!
I hope you are the minority, Ms. Curtis, in thinking of St. Barnabas as nothing more than an eyesore. Most of us in the Overlake neighborhood are not members of either faith that St. Barnabas houses. But surely we should not judge a house of worship by the color of its skin.
