Donald was born Aug. 24, 1926 in Willow Springs, Missouri to Andrew Martin Ward and Ada Delany. Donald was a fun loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Donald enjoyed being around people and visiting especially his family. He passed away Feb. 9, 2014 surrounded by his family in Stockton, Utah. Donald joined the Merchant Marines before he was old enough to join the US Army and traveled the world prior to joining the Army. He joined the Army at the tail end of WWII and served until he was honorably discharged. Donald rejoined the Army at the outbreak of the Korean conflict, serving from Sept. 1, 1950 through June 6, 1952 in Korea and attaining the rank of sergeant. After he was discharged from the Army he worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Donald is survived by his daughter Teresa (Ron) Powell, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, his daughter Deborah (Andy) Patterson, grandson Tracey Patterson. Grave side services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Stockton, Utah cemetery.
