Born on Sept. 11, 1930, to Hazel Hammond and James P. Madsen, Donna Louise Madsen Cunningham left this earth on Sunday, April 29, 2018, to be united with the love of her life, Allen L. Cunningham. Also waiting for her was her daughter Betty and a grandson who preceded her in death. Although the family she left behind will miss having her, the family that was waiting there is celebrating with her now. She was 87 years old.
Donna was a waitress at Delle for several years, and worked at Tooele Army Depot until her retirement. She was always a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She had a great love of family, she was a good friend, and had a spirited sense of humor.
She is survived by her children Allen (Cindy) Cunningham, Gregory Cunningham, Gary Cunningham, and Pamela (Curtis) Butler; brothers Kenneth Madsen and Wayne (Cindy) Madsen; sisters Connie Sutherland and Maxine (Bud) Bolinder; 17 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Graveside services, or a “drive by” as Donna called it, will be held at the Grantsville City Cemetery on Friday, May 4 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations toward funeral expenses can be made in Donna Cunningham’s name at Chartway Credit Union in Grantsville, Utah.
