Obit Doris BittermanDoris W. Bitterman passed away Jan. 25 in Tooele. Doris was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Doris was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Oct. 2, 1932 to Joe and Grace Webb. After graduating from Hancock High School, she met and married Arthur J. Bitterman and traveled the U.S. She was the loving mother to Art Bitterman; Cathy Ramsey (Brian) of Kingwood, Texas; Patty Brown (Kevin) of Tooele; Dave Bitterman (Kyong) of San Antonio, Texas; Amy Kinoff (Kelly) of Fountain, Colo.; and grandmother to Amy Ramsey, Jennifer Arinder (Chris), Chris Ramsey (Andrea), Sean O, Nick Ramsey, Jessica Brown, Faith Bitterman, Emily Ramsey, Sean Kinoff and Sydney Kinoff. Doris was sister to Joan Sutton (Jimmie), Janet Sohn (Don) and Joe Webb (Shirley). Doris traveled most of the U.S., accompanying her husband who was in the Air Force. After retiring, Art and Doris settled in Marysville, Calif., where Doris worked as a teaching assistant and librarian for the Marysville Unified School District. Doris was very active in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marysville. Doris continued to travel, twice to Europe, South Korea and many national parks in the U.S. She was planning a trip to the pacific northwest and Canada for this spring. Doris touched everyone who met her. Everyone had a kind word to say about her. She mentored many children and was loved by everyone. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Art, son Art and brother Joe. Services will be held at Sierra View Memorial Park in Marysville, Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Fisher House Foundation (www.fisherhouse.org).
