Whoever is responsible for this editorial on Feb. 15 should check their facts. I understand the purpose of the editorial, but givet me a break. The “It only takes 52 seconds to travel through a two-mile work zone at 45 mph.” facts are not even remotely accurate.
This type of inaccurate journalism just for the sake of stating a “journalist’s” opinion is what is wrong with today’s “news media.”
For your information, and any grade school child could find the right facts, It takes 2.66 minutes or 159.6 seconds to travel two miles at 45 mph. If a car travels two miles in 52 seconds it would be averaging 138.4 mph. Engage brain before putting fingers on computer keys. If your subscribers are have faith in your editorial opinions you need to strive for accuracy.
