Ellis Martin “Budd” White, 84, passed away Feb. 25 in his home with his wife, Mary Jo, at his side. Budd was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Tooele to Alma Bish and Ida Adamson White. He was raised in a family of six children with love, and taught hard work and respect for others. He graduated from Tooele High School and attended Utah State University. He played football for the Aggies. He served two years in the Army as staff sergeant in combat engineering. Budd worked in the service station business from 1954 to 1966. He was a flight instructor for two years. In 1968, he went to work at Condisco for his cousin, Jack White, as a driver and mechanic, later serving as general manager. He worked for Broken Arrow, retiring at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, brother, Sterling, children Cary (Brenda), Bill and Bob, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents and siblings Floyd, Alma Jean, Delvona and Bill, and granddaughter K.C. Funeral services will be held at the Tooele 11th Ward Chapel on Coleman Street at 11 a.m. on Feb. 28. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. the morning of the funeral. Interment will follow at Tooele City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Huntsman Cancer Center.
