Eric has accepted a call to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has been assigned to the Vietnam Hanoi Mission, which was just created on March 1 of this year. He will spend much of his time serving in the capacity of a “Branch Builder.” The mission currently has three branches, one of which is in Hanoi and the other two being in the city formerly known as Saigon. Prior to reporting to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Aug. 3 for two months of training, Eric will be speaking on Sunday, July 31 as part of the Skyline Ward Sacrament Meeting which will begin at 9 a.m. in the chapel located at 777 Skyline Drive in Tooele. Eric is the son of Huong and Daniel Egelund and the brother to Emily (Walbeck) and Erin. Our family wishes to express our gratitude to the large number of people that have encouraged, helped, prepared and inspired Eric to make this decision to serve a mission. While Eric is serving his mission, those who wish to remain in contact with him may do so using the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
