On the November Election Ballot, Proposition 14 was a question about a “Study Committee being appointed to consider and possibly recommend a change in the form of government for Tooele County.”
With the proposition passing, a “Steering Committee” has to be set up first before members of the “Study Committee” will be chosen.
The following entities select people for the steering committee. They include the Tooele County Commissioners, who have selected Scott Rybarik; Tooele County Legislators have selected Kim Halladay; and Proposition 14 petition sponsors have selected Charlie Roberts.
These three individuals will select two more people to serve on the steering committee. The committee will then choose between 7 and 11 people to be the actual “Study Committee.”
If you are interested in serving on the study committee, please use the following link to access the application: https://tooeleco.seamlessdocs.com/f/tcboardapp. I would recommend getting your application in before the end of December.
