Halloween in Tooele County

A skeleton rosined up his bow in Grantsville while a pirate wench served old-fashioned root beer in Stockton as part of community celebrations around Tooele County for the spookiest holiday of the year. Costume-clad musicians took to the stage in Grantsville High to add an eerie and fun jive to the Grantsville Orchestra performance. Pirates and miners partnered together to scare up funds for the local fire department as well the Intermountain Renaissance Arts Foundation by giving a ghost tour. In Tooele, families came together in disguise to help fill the Tooele Food Bank pantry shelves, and students of Harris Elementary put on their costumes to parade around the block as a kick off to their fall festival and as part of the year-long celebration of the school’s 60th birthday.
