Obit Imogene Boegler1933 – 2013

Our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away after a brief illness, Thursday, Sept. 26 surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 20, 1933 in Rogers, Ark., to Donald and Bessie Pate. Imogene was the oldest child of five, and was often the second mother to her siblings. Many of her dreams for her education weren’t realized as a result of the responsibilities that she had. One of her greatest dreams was to live to see all of her grandchildren graduate high school because she wasn’t able to. Not only was this dream realized, but she was able to see some of them graduate college as well. She married James Boegler, April 14, 1958, and then spent the next part of her life as a military wife, traveling to Panama and all over the United States. She settled in Dugway where her children were raised. Imogene was a hard worker, even getting a job after she retired. She loved crafts and sewing, and was always making clothes, blankets, and decorations for everyone around her. Imogene also loved to read, and had an entire library of books at her house. She is survived by her children, Billy and Robbie, Joann (Kenny), Karen (Jon), and Butch (Ann); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristopher, Justine, Tony (Angelica), Mindy, Jarika, Jaynie, Tyler, Mallory (Will), and Jake; and her great-grandchildren, Raylin, Anthony, Oliver, and Audrina. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her siblings DonAnn and Tommy, and her husband, Jim. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Tate Mortuary in Tooele at 11 a.m.
