Jared was born September 30, 1983, in Salt Lake City, son of Chuck and Chris Holland. Jared graduated from Tooele High School in 2002, where he wrestled and played football. He was passionate about sports and made many life-long friends that he played with from youth through high school.
Jared worked at 24 Hour Fitness as a sales representative and managed gyms in Provo, Sugar House and South Jordan. He was a top salesperson in the Intermountain area. He also worked in sales at Clear Link where he was among the top five sales people.
Jared was charismatic and outgoing and a great friend to many. He had the gift of gab and was always happy to talk and to make others laugh. Jared was very intelligent and had a great mind for facts and figures, especially sports stats. He also loved weightlifting and all kinds of music
He married his best friend, Jenn Anderson on February 2, 2013; they later divorced but he never stopped loving her.
Jared is survived by his parents, his sisters Heather Duncan and Valerie (Ben) Shumway, and brother-in-law Jeffrey Duncan. He was a loving uncle and best buddy to his niece and nephews Kaitlyn, Scott, Matthew, Jack, and Ammon Duncan, and Cooper Shumway.
A viewing will be held Thursday at Tate Mortuary (110 S. Main Street, Tooele) from 6-8 p.m. A viewing will also be held Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 11 a.m., both at the Tooele LDS 14th Ward building (192 W. 200 South).
