Jayden Russell Davis

Obit Jayden Russell DavisJayden Russell Davis passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, as the result of a tragic accident.

Jayden was born March 14, 2008, and is the son of Kyle and Kristen Porter and Dustin Davis. He lived his whole life in Tooele surrounded by family and friends. He was full of energy and curiosity about EVERYTHING. He excelled at all sports but really loved basketball and football, whether it was watching it, learning about it or playing it. A lover of history, he never stopped reading and learning about everything from Greek mythology to modern politics. He could also talk passionately about cars, especially exotic Italian cars! He made sure to learn how to drive a stick for when he got the chance to drive a Lamborghini! With a dry sense of humor, Jayden could make anything worth a smile, and his smile lit up the world. He was a fantastic big brother to his brother Tryten and his sister Marissa, as well as the leader of the pack with his cousins. A natural leader, he was in his element dealing with kids or adults on virtually any subject, and didn’t mind sharing his opinions! This past year, his joy was competing for and contributing to the Tooele High Varsity Basketball and Football teams as a freshman. He was a fierce competitor that truly loved his coaches and teammates, many of whom played with him for years. He especially loved playing for his dad, which pushed them both to be their best. Go Buffs!

Jayden is survived by his parents, siblings, grandparents Chris and Berna Sloan, Gary and Lisa Porter, Scott Evans and Ronni (James) Krish, all of Tooele; his aunts Jessica Harrison, Rachael (Ted) Haney, Jennifer (Trevor) Stalliviere and Marie Porter; and his uncles Jeremy (Piper) Evans and Jason Martinez; as well as lots of cousins. His dog Belle will miss him like crazy!

Our family would like to express our never ending thanks to the members of the Tooele City Police Dept., Tooele City Fire Dept., Tooele County Sheriffs Dept., Tooele County Search and Rescue and the Utah Highway Patrol and the many other first responders that searched and worked tirelessly, often at risk to their own safety, to bring our boy home to us.
