Jeremy JaeDo Davis, 38, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 3, 2014, surrounded by his family at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. Jeremy was born in Teague, South Korea, on Aug. 26, 1975. He graduated from Heidelberg American High School and continued on with his schooling at Brigham Young University. Jeremy married Alissa Davis (Dix) on Jan. 31, 2004. Jeremy is survived by his wife Alissa Diane; son Tyson JaeDo Davis; his parents Keith L. Davis and Deborah F. Davis; his four sisters, Krysta L. Riley and her husband Paul, Hilary A. Boyer and her husband Bryan, Alison R. Houpt, and Jillian R. Garcia and her husband Jared; his grandmother M. Darlene Perkins; his many nieces and nephews; and the rest of his relatives and friends. Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandparents Tom R. Perkins, Melvin W. (Toy) Davis and Bertha J. Davis. Jeremy was a great athlete in high school and was a member of his soccer, football and wrestling varsity teams. He was a European wrestling champion his senior year and continued his wrestling career as a member of the Pre-Olympic U.S. Armed Forces team representing the USA in Manchester, England, in 1993. He enjoyed sports, working on cars and spending time with his family and friends — especially his son Tyson. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Dusseldorf, Germany, area and was an Eagle Scout. Jeremy was selfless, always putting the needs of others before himself. He was a registered organ donor and his organs will be used to give the gift of life to many who will never meet him on this side of the veil. The time from 10-11 a.m. has been set aside for visitation with friends and family. The memorial service will start at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at the 27th Ward Chapel, 180 S. Coleman Street, Tooele, Utah.
