Zions Bank will host an open house celebrating the retirement of W. Dean Johnson, longtime manager of its Tooele financial center. The public is invited to stop by the financial center, located at 998 North Main Street in Tooele, on Friday, Sept. 11 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to enjoy a light lunch and visit with Johnson.
Johnson, a resident of Grantsville, began working in the banking industry in 1976 and joined Zions Bank in 2002 where he served as the financial center manager and area president in Tooele for 13 years. He has had the opportunity to serve many clients during his 35 years of service in the banking industry.
“My career has been great because I have been able to work directly with my clients helping them start their businesses,” said Johnson. “I’ve enjoyed solving problems that make their businesses better and taking them to the next level of their business.”
As an active member of the community, Johnson has served with Tooele Education Foundation, Barrick Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Local Homeless Committee, Domestic Violence Coalition, Boy Scouts of America and Tooele County Budget Review Committee.
Johnson currently resides in Grantsville with his wife, Beatrice, and has seven children and 22 grandchildren.
