Jake was born Jan. 12, 1926 to Denaciana “Chanita” Aragon Vigil in Ranchos de Taos. He had seven siblings: Feles, Clorinda, Dora, Maria, Porfilia, Cornelio and Luciano along with nephew Pablo and favorite niece Clara “Chata”. 
Jake married Gertrude M. Graham on June 24, 1946. They had six children: Frank Kiko, Tessie, Anthony, Robert, Eddie and Monica “Mone”. Together they raised grandchildren Frankie, Clemaca, Rudy, Anjelica and Andy. He leaves behind wife Gertrude Aragon, son Kiko, daughter Tessie (Joe) Santistevan, daughter Monica (Jose) Lozano and son Rudy Aragon, 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by mother Denaciana Vigil, siblings Feles, Clorinda and Dora, sons Anthony, Eddie and Robert, and grandsons Frankie and Anthony. A viewing/rosary will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 17 at St. Marguerite Catholic Church. Burial mass will be April 18 at 11 a.m., also at St. Marguerite Catholic Church.
