Military career one of valor

Sgt. Frank A. Greco

Sgt. Frank A. Greco is a native of Philadelphia, Pa. He has three children Elisa (3), Kirsten (2), and Alexis (1). The young sergeant entered the Army in August 1999 at Ft. Sill, Okla.; where he attended Basic Training.

Directly after graduating from Basic Training he was assigned to B Co. 2nd Battalion, 32nd Medical Brigade, at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, for Advanced Individual Training, where he was trained to become a 91 Bravo Medic Specialist.

Upon the completion of his medical training, Sgt. Greco was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga., where he served as a Company Line Medic in the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment and as a Squad Leader/Company Senior Line Medic in the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment.

In late September 2003, Sgt. Greco was assigned to the U.S. Army Health Clinic at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, where he serves as the Out Patient Clinic Noncommissioned Officer In Charge.

Throughout the sergeant’s short career he has been deployed to Kuwait for Operation Desert Spring and Operation Enduring Freedom, Bosnia for Operation Joint Forge, Kosovo for Operation Destiny/Operation Joint Guardian, and Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt. Greco’s awards are the Bronze Star Medal with “V” device, Army Commendation Medal with “V” device (two Oak Leaf Cluster {OLC}), Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (one bronze service star), Kosovo Campaign Medal (one bronze service star), Operation Iraqi Freedom Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 2), Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Kosovo NATO Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drivers Badge (Wheel and Track), and the Army Presidential Unit Citation.

His education includes the Toxic Chemical Training Course, Manager Development Course, Supervisor Development Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, and the Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course. Sgt. Greco is a graduate of South Philadelphia High School, and is working toward a Degree in Liberal Sciences.
