Norma Jean Young Miner

Obit Norma MinerNorma Jean Young Miner was born April 29, 1934 in Tooele to Elisha Frank Young and Doris Miller Young. She retired from civil service after working at the Tooele, Sierra and Sacramento Army Depots as well as Dugway Proving Grounds as a management analyst. In her retirement years she developed a passion for genealogy. Norma had many other hobbies, including rock hunting, oil painting and traveling. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Merlin, sister Ruth and grandchildren Robert and Alicia. Norma is survived by her sisters Masie (Vere) Lancaster and Wanda Arnold, children Jeanne (Kevin) Maddox, Terry (Margaret) Miner, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She returned home to the loving arms of family on April 10. Per Norma’s request, a graveside service will be held April 12 at 3 p.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery for family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Care for their kindness and service during Norma’s battle with Alzheimer’s.
