Quickly return affidavit if your ballot signature needs verification

If you received an email or letter in the mail asking you to sign a voter affidavit to verify your ballot signature in the recent Presidential Primary Election, or because you didn’t sign your ballot, please return them promptly. The canvas meeting will be March 17. If we get the affidavit back before then your ballot will be counted, and you will receive credit for voting.

We had several voters registered as unaffiliated, who did not return the postcard sent to all unaffiliated voters in January, which asked them to choose a party ballot for the Presidential Primary Election. The same situation may exist in the Regular Primary Election in June. If you have not chosen a ballot, and the parties close their Primary Election, you will not receive a ballot in the mail. We won’t know for sure what parties will be holding elections in June, but please watch closely for information.

The Recreation Special Service District grant applications are being accepted until March 31.  The goal of the district is to provide recreation and related services and facilities. It is important to follow the guidelines outlined in the application.
