Obit Raymond KinnickBeloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, friend and retired Sergeant First Class. Ray passed away July 5 after a brief battle with cancer. Born June 24, 1949 to Margie and Thomas Kinnick, he graduated from Granite High School in 1967 and joined the United States Marine Corp in 1969. Ray married his first wife Sheila (later divorced) and was blessed with five children, Tamara, Thomas, David (Jessica), Raymond Jr., and Deborah (Sterling). Ray is preceded in death by his mother, father, daughter (Tamara) and stepson (Craig Murphy). He is survived by his wife Linda, his four children, brother (Robert), sisters (Dee Bullock and Sandy Bullock), 16 grandchildren, and stepdaughters Randi (Kimberly) and Jennifer (Darby). Ray proudly served our country for 22 years as both a Marine (1969-1978) and as a Utah Army National Guardsman (1978-1992) in the 19th Special Forces. Ray loved his family very much. He will be missed, loved and always remembered as a strong, proud and caring man. A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 10 at the Batesville Ward LDS Church 136 W. Erda Way in Erda at 10 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with military graveside services at 12:30 p.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery.
