Our loving mother, Francis Rhea Cox Anderson, passed away, March 8, 2014, in South Jordan, Utah. She was born May 22, 1929 to Franklin and Georgia Charlesworth Cox, the second of seven children. She grew up in Price, Utah, where she met and married the love of her life, Donald W. Anderson; Aug. 2, 1946 and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She served in many positions in the LDS church and was very proud and honored to serve a church mission with her husband. After briefly living in Price, Fremont, CA and Monticello, they settled and raised their four children in Tooele. Rhea spent many of her early years, in Tooele, working at the Tooele Valley Hospital as an obstetrics technician where she assisted in delivering many of the children she would later love and teach when she founded Anderson’s Nursery School. She nurtured and instructed three generations of Tooele County children. Rhea’s life long love of service, lifted and propelled many to reach their potential. She loved people! She was driven by the desire to help anyone or just make your day a little brighter, even a stranger. She taught us all, by her loving example, to be better people. She will be missed more than words can ever express. She is survived by her children Donald R. (Joan), Eric M. (Nicole), Paul D. (Cynthia) and Julie M. Theriault (Ted Gressman), 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many extended family. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Russell and Harold Cox and sister Karen Cox. She will be laid to rest at Tooele City Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
