Obit Robert James McStayOur dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend returned to his Heavenly Father peacefully at home surrounded by his family, April 5, 2014. Robert was born to Anna and Edward McStay in Sheridan, Wyo., and attended schools in both Sheridan and Parkman. After graduation Bob joined the Army serving his Country during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged after serving three years. Bob married Dortha Nell Gammon in Lehi, Utah. Five beautiful daughters blessed this union. The family moved to Tooele in 1955 where Bob was employed at Tooele Army Depot. He retired as Division Chief after 35 years of government service. Bob loved Island Park, Idaho. He and his friend built a large beautiful cabin where summer vacations were spent with their families fishing, rafting the Snake River, spending time in West Yellowstone and visiting Yellowstone Park. He and his family also enjoyed camping along the Oregon and Washington Coast, sightseeing, fishing and most fun of all, clam digging! His hobbies included, hunting, fishing, camping in his 5th wheel, golfing, and driving his new car. He was also an amazing dancer and made delicious fudge! His life revolved around family. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dortha, daughters, Teresa (Jeff) Castolene,  Patty (Greg) White, Taunya (Wayne) Jones, Tamara McStay, Jill (Dave) Beeson, 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Waiting for his heavenly return are his parents and siblings, Helen, Edith and Ed, grandsons, Adam and Russell, mother and father in law Roy and Edna Gammon, brothers in law Harold Gammon and Jim Huggard. A private family service was held in Lehi, Utah.
