Ronald Verl Kirk, 83, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 30, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren at the time of his passing. He was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Tooele, Utah, the eldest child of Rollo J. and Chloe Ann Kirk.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve “Jenny” (Jeppson) Kirk; his children, Dana (Suzanne) Kirk, Greg (Carole) Kirk, Laurie (George) Sommer and Alicia (Raymond) White; his step children, Steve (Janet) Jeppson, Pete (Tiffany) Jeppson, Joe (Holly) Jeppson, Christine (Wayne) May, Cheryl (Hubbard) Jeppson and Stefanie (Antrim) Jeppson. He is also survived by his sister, Becky (Mike) Shipley; many nephews and nieces, and over 80 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Madsen Kirk; his father and mother; and two sisters, Renae (Kirk) Wise and CloAnn (Kirk) Werre.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the Hyrum 6th Ward Chapel, 595 S. 200 East, Hyrum. Friends may call at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 North, Logan, on Thursday, April 5, from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9-10 a.m. Graveside services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
