Rose Marie “Mimi” Ciura passed away peacefully on March 17, 2014 at her sons’ home in Tooele after a relatively short battle with cancer. Mimi was born on April 17, 1951 to William and Dorthy Diel in Tooele, Utah. In her early years, she lived in Stockton before moving to Tooele. She lived in Washington State for a couple years where she became a mother to her only child, Allen. Mimi married Tony Ciura, the love of her life, on Feb. 9, 1980. After retiring from Tooele Army Depot, she moved to Marysvale, Utah, to live with her loving husband Tony. They enjoyed their winters in Arizona with friends. She loved riding ATVs and spending time with her family and friends. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother; Saige was a great light in her life. Mimi was greeted by her parents Dorthy and William, brother, Willy, and grandmother Rosella Barton. Mimi is survived by Tony, her son Allen, daughter-in-law Brisi and her beautiful granddaughter Saige. She is also survived by her siblings Sherry, John (Paula), Roger and Brother-in-law Jimmy (Teri), along with many loving nieces and nephews, friends and other loved ones. We would like to thank the Doctors at Utah Cancer Specialists, everyone at Intermountain Medical Center and the amazing nurses and aids from hospice. We will be celebrating Mimi’s life on March 29 at the Eagles Nest (Tooele Army Depot Bldg. 1005) beginning at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please feel free to join us in our celebration. For more information, please feel free to call Brisi at 830-4873. Please share memories and condolences at www.serenicarefuneralhome.com.
