The Settlement Canyon Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers held their monthly business and dinner meeting on Thursday, Feb. 6 in the Tooele Senior Citizens Center. After sharing a potluck meal, members and their wives were taught by Scott Wardle. He instructed the SUP of God’s protecting hand in the forming of our freedoms, constitution, and government, and of the miracles witnessed by the founding fathers in forming the nation. He said that the same promises and protecting hand is still here today, if we remain true to the cause for which the nation was founded.
Scott Wardle is currently an LDS seminary teacher, city councilman and a member of the Tooele Utah South Stake Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He resides in Tooele with his wife Courtney and their three children.
If you are interested in finding out more about the Sons of Utah Pioneers, bring a potluck dish and join us for our next dinner meeting on Thursday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Tooele Senior Citizens Center at 59 East Vine. The presenter for that evening will be Max Molgard of LDS Church Correlation.
