For those of you who follow the commission meeting agendas, you’ll notice a new section under “Board Appointments.” Under this heading will be listed county boards that have openings, as well as board appointments that will be made.
If you are interested in serving on one of these boards, please go to the clerk’s website at www.co.tooele.ut.us and click on the “Information” tab. You will see the “Board Application” link. You can fill it out and submit the application online, or you are welcome to come into the office and pick up an application.
As a reminder, while the commission agenda is no longer printed in the Transcript Bulletin, it can be accessed through the state’s public notice website at http://www.utah.gov/pmn/index.html or through the county’s website at http://126.96.36.199/sirepub/meet.aspx.

Business and Beer License renewals will go out mid May. Tooele County conducted a state-wide fee survey on business licenses, and as a result, the fee’s have been increased. Residential Business Licenses (Home Occupations) have gone from $25 to $30 plus $5 per employee. Commercial Business Licenses have gone from $25 to $50 plus $5 per employee.
Beginning June 1 you will be able to pay for your business license on-line. There is a $2.50 fee to pay by credit card and $.49 to pay by ACH (electronically through your checking account). If you’d prefer not to pay the additional fee, you may mail a check along with your renewal application. Or come on in, we’d love to see you and we even take cash!
If you haven’t mailed in your Permanent Vote By Mail Verification Form, please do so, even though the date has passed. Some of you will have an election next month and we are already beginning preparations for the August primary. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to vote!
We also offer notary service during office hours. The cost is $5 per signature.
