Some local citizens will have up to three elections to vote on this year

F

or those of you who are on the Permanent Absentee/By-Mail Voter List, it’s that time again to let me know whether you want to vote absentee/by-mail for the elections this year.

By this weekend you should receive a postcard that asks whether you want to stay on the Permanent Absentee/By-Mail Voter List, and if so, what address you would like your ballots sent to (your snow bird address or home). The card states the deadline to return the notice is April 19. If you can’t get it back by then, please get it back as soon as you can.

Some voters will have three elections this year. Those living in the South Rim Special Service District and in the North Tooele County Fire Protection Service District, will have a special election on Tuesday, June 25. The proposition for South Rim will read:

The proposition for North Tooele County Fire Protection Service District will read:

“Shall the North Tooele County Fire Protection Service District be authorized to set the maximum tax rate cap at 0.000850 annually?”
