Pitt pounded out two hits, including a threerun round trip blast, and had four RBI to lead Salt Lake Community College to a 13-1 victory March 5 over Colorado.
The Tooele resident also smacked out five hits in seven official trips to the plate and recorded five RBI in a double-header sweep of Dixie, 8-0 and 9-4 March 11. In another doubleheader with Dixie, Pitt logged a four-for-six day in the two games with four RBI in another sweep. In fact, the former THS star smacked a clutch two-out, two-strike single to chase home two teammates in the sixth inning and erase a 4-3 Dixie lead and vault SLCC to a dramatic 5-4 victory.
The Lady Bruins battled to the conference championship last year and finished sixth in the nation in a national tournament in Florida last May. This is Pitt’s second year on the team.
