The Grantsville volleyball team defeated Summit Academy 21-25, 25-3, 25-21, 25-19 in a Region 13 match Tuesday night at Grantsville High School. Statistics were not available at press time. The Cowboys (5-9, 1-3 Region 13) traveled to Salt Lake City on Thursday to face Judge Memorial in a Region 13 match that was not complete at press time. Grantsville will play host to Providence Hall in a region match Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Stansbury volleyball vs.
Cedar Valley
Heilala Kaufusi had six kills, Linzie Hoffmann had five and Annika Riggle added four as the Stansbury volleyball team rolled to a 25-10, 25-11, 25-10 win over Cedar Valley in a Region 10 match Tuesday at Stansbury High School. Marina Riddle had six aces and Kayla Alvey added four aces and 14 assists for the Stallions (12-3, 5-1 Region 10), who faced county rival Tooele in a region match that was not complete at press time Thursday. Stansbury will play host to Juan Diego on Tuesday in another key Region 10 matchup.
Tooele girls soccer vs.
Juan Diego
The Tooele girls soccer team snapped an eight-game losing streak, defeating Juan Diego 3-0 on Wednesday at Buffalo Stadium in the first night home game in program history. Tooele (4-9, 1-8 Region 10) hadn’t won a match since Aug. 15, and was able to avenge a 2-0 loss to Juan Diego earlier in the season. The Buffaloes will travel to Ogden for a Region 10 match on Monday before playing host to county rival Stansbury on Wednesday in their final home match of the regular season.

Ben Lomond
The Stansbury girls soccer team battled to a scoreless draw in a Region 10 game against Ben Lomond on Wednesday in Ogden. Ainsley Thurber picked up the shutout in goal for the Stallions (7-4-2, 5-3-1 Region 10). Stansbury will face Cedar Valley on Tuesday in a Region 10 game at home.
