Stansbury golfer Tormondsen leads Region 7

Stallions win team title ♦

Randee Tormondsen’s average score of 85.14 earned her medalist honors in Region 7 golf this season. Tooele’s Macee Lawless finished fifth with an average score of 94.13.

Four other Stallions were among the top 12 individual players in the region including Alexis Autry (sixth), Kamry Bryan (seventh), Bailey Vorwaller (eighth)and Reagan Richins (12th).

Tooele’s Jetta Hunt finished ninth.

The 5A state tournament will be held May 9-10 at River Oaks Golf Course in Sandy.

Grantsville finished second to Morgan in Region 13 golf. Final scores were Morgan 60, Grantsville 48, Ogden 40, South Summit 28, Ben Lomond 24, and Layton Christian 9.

Grantsville’s Makena Bohman placed fifth in the region in individual competition with a 92 average. Alivia Jefferies placed eighth at 97. Hailie Fraser placed 15th with a 109.

Grantsville will host the 3A state golf tournament May 11-12 at Oquirrh Hills Golf Course in Tooele.
