Obit Starla MillwardOur beautiful, talented sister, daughter and mother Starla Marie Millward passed away in Farmington Tuesday, July 2nd. Starla was born in Tooele on Sept. 13, 1968. She was the fifth child of George and Barbara Millward of Grantsville. Starla served as a clinical audiologist for 18 years at the Intermountain Hearing and Balance Center of Intermountain Health Care. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Utah State University and proudly received her Doctorate of Audiology degree at Salus University. She is survived by two beautiful, talented and loving children, Alexis Ann and Jase Zachary Wanlass. She is also survived by her mother Barbara, and her brother and sisters Lori, (Matt), Melodi, (Randy), Georgette, (Todd), Nathan, (Margaret), and Annie, (Cory); and by her beloved cat Jukie. She is preceded in death by her father George and her grandparents Tom and Glenna Millward, and Alfred and Lenna Hiss. She was married to Jason Wanlass and later divorced. She will deeply miss her cherished partner and loving companion Noel Daniels. Starla and her children loved to travel especially to the beach. She created works of art with her crochet afghans, needle point and baby blankets, which she lovingly gave to others. Her home was a place of beauty, as she was a talented decorator and master gardener. Starla created beautiful scrapbooks that will leave a living legacy of love. She proudly supported her children in their extracurricular activities. Younger, she was an accomplished gymnast and cheerleader at Utah State University. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6th at the LDS Second Ward building, 98 N. Church St., Grantsville. Starla will be laid to rest in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
