Loading...Sometimes there are no words to express the gratitude for all those that showed the respect and appreciation for the sacrifice made by Daniel James and Lauren Dow that day almost 50 years ago. Everyone who loses a friend or loved one carries a heavy burden that others may not be aware of. Our sincere thank you for lessening our burden through your hard work, donations, kind words and acts of kindness that have made it possible to memorialize these two courageous and honorable young men. Their monument would not be possible without the hard work and donations of so many.
The families of these two young men wish to thank everyone that contributed to the completion of their memorial. We especially would like to thank Mayor Winn and the Tooele City staff, the Tooele City Fire Department, as well as the Tooele Volunteer Firefighter Association and all of the auxiliary, retired and past members for their work and dedication. A very special thank you to all the individuals, groups, and businesses that have helped to make their memorial possible.
The words on the monument express the families hope – “Let all who visit here recall memories with fondness, find comfort from sorrow, and leave with peace in their hearts.”
