Tooele County DUP holds annual Jubilee

On Jan. 28, 2017, Tooele County Daughters of Utah Pioneers Company held their annual Jubilee. Attendees enjoyed a luncheon and updates about the goals attained by the DUP Company in 2016. New goals to be reached in 2017 were also discussed. The cookbook, a Cookbook of Timeless Food, by Tooele County Daughters of Utah Pioneers, is being re-printed, and should be available by mid-April at the Tooele Transcript Bulletin, and members of the Daughters of Pioneers, as well as at the Tooele County DUP Pioneer Museum and the Grantsville DUP museum. The lovely 1867 building which holds the DUP museum has been re-painted, and a new plaque has been placed above the front door, depicting the year the building was put up. The museum has been used as city offices, a jail and now a museum. With historical, lovely architecture, and precious artifacts within, everyone should visit and appreciate this one-of-a-kind pioneer building. — Submitted by Patricia E.
