Tooele Valley’s three high school girls basketball teams all experienced their fair share of success during the 2019-20 season, with the Grantsville girls adding to their impressive legacy in the Class 3A state tournament.
For the third year in a row, the Cowboys found themselves playing on the final day of the tournament, ending up with a fourth-place finish. That adds to a second-place finish in 2019 and a third-place effort in 2018. Stansbury’s girls earned a first-round bye in the Class 4A state tournament after an impressive 13-9 season under first-year coach Brittany Davies, and Tooele battled through injuries and inexperience to finish fifth in Region 10 before losing a hard-fought game in the first round of the postseason.
All three teams will have plenty of talent returning when the 2020-21 season tips off, making for an exciting future for Tooele County basketball.
