Wayne Jay Hanson, born to Wilford N. and Irene Erickson Hanson on July 27, 1930, joined his parents, brother Deloy, wife Dorothy Cochrane, daughter Jill Kasper, grandson Dustin Allen, great-grandson Graham Humphreys and many other relatives who preceded him in death on April 16, 2014. Wayne was a lifetime resident of Tooele. Shortly after graduating from Tooele High he was drafted into the Army and served our country in the Korean War. Wayne was known as a hard worker and began his first job at 14. He attended technical school where he learned the trade and worked his lifetime as an electrician.
He enjoyed woodworking and music, and was able to complete any household repair needed.
Wayne leaves behind his daughter, Lori Allen; grandchildren, Cody and Meagan Allen, and Emily (Greg) Humphreys; and five great-grandchildren, Garrett, Madison, Wesley, Trevor and Robin. Also surviving him are many cousins, nephews and nieces, his brothers-in law and son-in law.
Services will be held on Wednesday April 23, 2014, viewing at 9 am to 10:30 a.m. at Tate Mortuary, graveside service at 11 a.m.
