Wayne A. McBride, 83, passed away Jan. 25, 2014 following a brief illness in Rock Springs, Wyo. He was born June 28, 1930, son of Arthur Herbert McBride and Jewel Elizabeth Angel in Grantsville, Utah. He married Rose Marie Woodward July 4, 1948, later divorced. On Dec. 30, 1978 he married Loralee Anderson. He was proud of his Grantsville heritage where he grew up. At an early age his mechanical skills lead him to his lifelong career in the automobile industry. He enjoyed most anything that had to do with cars. He owned and operated several successful businesses including selling used cars and opened the Napa Parts stores in Green River and Rock Springs. He moved to Green River in 1973 and quickly became part of the community participating in local civic and church activities. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and always had a project using his resourcefulness. He was a story teller and always had a good joke. We will miss the many stories he told of his adventures. His grand children fondly referred to him as “Grandpa in Wyoming.” While many projects remain unfinished, his legacy will live on through his posterity. He will truly be missed by his family. He is survived by his wife Loralee of 35 wonderful years. Children: Gary (Pat) McBride, Michael (Beth) McBride, Cathryn (Bill) Hurley, Cindy (Rick) Gibbs, Janae (David) Mulinix, 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Precedent in death by his parents and infant son Larry. Viewing will be held Wednesday evening Jan. 29, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Vase Mortuaries, 263 E. Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, WY 82935, and again Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Green River Assembly of God, corner of Hitching Post and Bridger, Green River, Wyo. Funeral services will follow at 11 A.M. Interment to follow in Green River, Wyo. (Riverview Cemetery).
