Obit William K. WhearWilliam K. Whear, born Dec. 16, 1941 in Tooele, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 after a long illness. Bill is the son of Charles K. Whear and Doris Orr Whear, who preceded him in death. Bill was raised in Tooele, Utah and attended Tooele schools. After high school he joined the Army and then started his career at  Tooele Army Depot in 1973 as a Systems Analyst and who was regarded by many as the man who brought technology to the Depot.  Bill retired from Tooele Army Depot in 1998. He married  Noreen Peterson in 1966 and together they had two beautiful daughters Lisa Whear and Kelli Goodchild.  Bill loved his girls with all his heart. One of his greatest joys in life was when he became a Grandfather.  One of his favorite things to do was taking his grandsons to Yellowstone. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Doris Whear.  He is survived by his daughters Lisa Whear and Kelli Goodchild. His siblings Jim (Patricia) Whear, Elaine Peterson, and Sharon (Terry) Hark. His Uncle, Allen (Shirley) Whear. His grandchildren Travis Green, Alyssa Green, Kaitlin (Jeremy) Sorensen, Tate Kelley, Olivia Kelley and Mattalyn Goodchild, and great-grandchildren Carter and Sydney Spendlove and Milo Sorensen and many nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to express a special thanks and appreciation to Annalene Brown for all the help she has been to Bill over the past few years. You have truly been such a wonderful friend to our Dad. Bill will truly missed by all that knew him. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 12, 2014 at the Eagle’s Nest at Tooele Army Depot at 2 p.m. Please join us in celebrating Bill’s life.  His wishes were to be cremated and the family is going to go to Yellowstone National Park to scatter his ashes at his favorite place on earth. We all love you and will miss you every day of our lives.
